Our Terms


Payment


Invoices are sent out by the 1st of each month. Payments are due no later than the 16th of the service month. If  payment is not received by the 16th, a late fee of 5% of the unpaid balance will be added automatically and service may be suspended immediately till the account is paid in full. If account is suspended a fee may be assessed if service has been put off for any extended time beyond normal service visit. Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance will not make a service visit if payment has not been received, and the same amount will be due. 


Payment Methods


Cash, Check or Card. Online and onsite credit and debit payments available with service fee. Checks can be sent to address provided on invoice. Checks can be left onsite for pickup on a service day on or before due date, please advise us where check will be left for pickup. 

Property Access


Your gate must be unlocked for the full day of your regularly scheduled mow day or the day after if we are unable to service your property due to inclement weather. If we are unable to gain access to your property when the crew arrives, we will not be able to service your property inside the locked area and will not be able to send the crews back or issue credit.


Pets


Please let us know if you have outdoor pet(s). For the safety of your pet(s) and Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance employees please arrange to have your pet(s) inside on the day we service your property. It is important that your yard not be scattered with pet toys or pet droppings.  We can not mow over these objects. Please arrange to have the property in a "mowable" state prior to our arrival.


Service Days


Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance schedules to work Monday - Friday. Saturday is sometimes scheduled to make up for inclement weather delays. We schedule to service your property the same day each week. Due to the nature of this business, we can not always arrive at the same time each week, delays in traffic, weather and equipment failure can often affect the schedule.


Watering and lawn treatments


Please ensure you do not water on your service day. This affects the quality of the cutting and can be dangerous for the crews. Also if another company provides lawn treatment, please insure they do not apply chemicals or fertilizer on the service day. We can not reschedule and we will not credit your account if we arrive and your lawn is being treated and we do not mow.


Weather Delays


Heavy rain and/or lightening storms will likely postpone service until the weather clears up. Cutting the grass if the ground is too wet may cause a poor cut. In the event that weather has consistently been wet we may have to go ahead and mow even if not ideal as the grass could grow too tall waiting for the ground to dry out. We will mow if in our opinion the rain is light or intermittent. If we have to postpone service for that day, you will be serviced the following day, which may be a Saturday. 


Schedule Changes and Skips


If your need to reschedule, skip a service appointment we require you notify us at least 48 hours in advance. We are available between 8am and 6pm Monday thru Friday. The contact number is 972-896-1957. We check our email daily, Curtis@BestOnTheBlockLM.com. If notice is less that 48 hours, we can not guarantee that service will not be performed ad you will be charged accordingly. 

Cancellation


Cancellations should not come within 48 hours of next service date to avoid being charged.


Property Damage


In the event of property damage that Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance may be responsible for, it must be reported immediately. If deemed necessary for Best on the Block Landscape to repair due to agreed responsibility, repairs to amend the damage caused by Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance will be done to a level deemed reasonable by Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance. Damages reported more than 24 hours after a service date will not be honored.


*Disclaimer: Exposed drip lines, soaker hoses, miscellaneous items left on the ground pose a high risk for damage although Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance do their best to avoid, damage resulting to these items and like items will not be the responsibility of Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance. Due to the nature of lawn care services, regular wear to lower fence line and decorative perimeter/edges due to trimming/edging should be expected and not defined as property damage.  


Service Guarantee


Should a service issue arise, Best on the Block Landscape Maintenance will correct the problem as soon as possible.  Any service issue or complaint must be received within 24 hours of the service date. Bi-weekly services are offered but strongly discouraged. We recommend only cutting 1/3 of the grass height each mowing. Bi-weekly service inherently causes such problems as clumps of grass or grass appearing to be cut unevenly or browning of lawn after cut. If these results happen, we will not be able to send crews back to correct these issues or guarantee these services, as we do on weekly services.
